Hotmock is an electronic kit for development that allows anyone to quickly create “new usage” and “experience ideas”. By simply connecting a USB cable, you can start physical prototyping on your PC. This is a development communication tool for everyone including designers, engineers, and development planners. Users can easily create simulation by combining software that can be visually operated and electrical/electronic components.
Ntex has coordinated with Holon Create to implement this project. In particular, Ntex has participated in case design and mass production for the product.
In the development of this kit, Holon Create and Ntex focused on experience design. This means designing products and services to improve the user experience. Specifically, we focused on the following points:
- Make it easy for users to assemble the kit
- Make it easy for users to operate the kit
- Allow users to freely expand their kit
This kit uses the following technologies:
- Raspberry Pi
- I2C communication
- Various communication technology
Hotmock is largely a makeshift kit from IoT development companies, and there are also plans to integrate it with the Canadian-made software Storyboard. We have also started the development of a new interface based on the current prototype.
